Configure Elasticsearch

This document provides information on how to configure and setup Elasticsearch on Sage X3.

This guide is about Elasticsearch 8. Sage X3 is still compatible with previous versions of Elasticsearch, but it is strongly recommended to update Elasticsearch to version 8 if your Sage X3 installation does not have any dependencies that require Elasticsearch 7. This is due to previous versions of Elasticsearch being close to the end of their support life.

If your Sage X3 uses a Elasticsearch version prior to 7.17, you must first update Elasticsearch to 7.17 before making the update to Elasticsearch 8. More information on how to do that can be found in the Elasticsearch website.
